Thanks for writing. I've ended up with a regular practice of what is essentially somatic meditation quite by accident, and I think you capture it really well. I think most people's experience of this - certainly mine and it sounds like yours too - starts from a place of not really being aware of what's happening internally. I've been gradually learning those skills of proprioception and what's coming out of it is fairly groundbreaking. I'd love to see more general understanding of this and what it really means to be aware of your body.
